Hollywood hotel area to be modeled after NYC’s Meatpacking District

The developer of Los Angeles’ new Dream Hollywood lifestyle hotel and a handful of adjacent food and beverage outlets will add as many four more hotels to the project, which is being modeled after New York’s Meatpacking District.

The Hollywood district, which is being built by Los Angeles-based Relevant Group, is slated to add a 200-room Thompson hotel, a 212-room Tommie hotel and a 114-room hotel branded by nightclub operator Tao Group in 2019. The Thompson and Tommie brands are owned by Two Roads Hospitality.

The block-long project will also have as many as 15 restaurants, bars and lounges.

Relevant Group opened the 178-room Dream Hollywood last month.
